Runs on your device

This is a helper, not an official check. Rules change and include things a tool can't judge, like lighting, expression and background. Check the official rules for your document before you print.

Drag the photo so the chin sits on the gold line and the top of the head (including hair) is inside the gold band. With the frame focused, arrow keys move the photo and + / − zoom.

How it works

Pick a size and the frame takes its exact shape. The guides show where the chin should sit and the range the top of the head should reach. For the US photo, a green band also shows the allowed eye height.

The saved JPEG is sized for 300 dpi and marked as 300 dpi. The print sheet places as many copies as fit on a 4 × 6 in page with thin cut lines. Print it at 100% scale, not "fit to page".

Why it stays private

A passport photo is a clear picture of your face. Here it never leaves your device: no upload, no account, nothing stored. The saved file has no EXIF data.

Questions

Will my photo be accepted?

We can't promise that. The tool helps with size and position only. Offices also check lighting, focus, expression, glasses, background and how recent the photo is.

Many offices want a digital photo. Can I use this?

Some online applications ask for their own pixel size or file limits. Check what they ask for, then use the resizer or compressor if needed.

What background should I use?

Most rules ask for a plain, light background with no shadows. Stand a little way from a white wall in soft, even light.

Why are India's guides marked approximate?

The rules depend on where and how you apply, and we couldn't confirm one exact head range. Treat that guide as a starting point.
