About

About VaultWell

A quiet place on your phone for the things that are yours alone.

Why we're building it

Most of us carry our most personal things on our phones: photos of our families, scans of documents, notes we'd never say out loud. Phones are shared, handed over, borrowed and lost. A passcode that half the household knows isn't always enough.

Many vault apps answer this with alarm bells, long sign-up forms and paywalls before you've protected a single photo. We wanted something calmer: an app that opens with one welcome screen, asks for no account, and explains plainly what it does and doesn't do.

What we care about

  1. Calm. No fear-mongering, no fake countdowns, no exclamation marks. Privacy should feel like relief, not anxiety.
  2. Honest. We say where our protection ends. Our security page lists what we don't claim, and our comparisons say where other options are better.
  3. Private. No account, and nothing in your vaults is sent to us. This website has no cookies or analytics, and its tools run in your browser.
  4. For everyone. 33 languages, light and dark, larger text and screen reader support from the start.

Where we are

VaultWell isn't released yet. We're finishing the apps for iPhone and Android, reviewing translations, and preparing an independent security audit. You can follow along on What's new.
