WebP to PNG converter
Turn WebP images into lossless PNG files, transparency included, without uploading them anywhere.
Convert WebP to PNG
Runs on your deviceHow it works
Your browser decodes each WebP and saves the exact decoded pixels as a PNG. PNG is lossless, so nothing more is lost in the conversion, and transparency is kept. PNG files are often larger than WebP, especially for photos. Every browser can save PNG.
Why it stays private
The conversion happens inside this page. Your images are never sent to a server, and the page makes no network requests while you use it. Close the tab and they are gone from it.
Questions
Will the PNG look better than the WebP?
It will look the same. PNG keeps the decoded pixels exactly; it can't restore detail the WebP had already dropped.
Why is the PNG so much bigger?
WebP photos are usually lossy and compact. PNG stores every pixel without loss, which takes more space.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. Transparent and semi-transparent areas carry over.
Are animated WebP files supported?
Only the first frame is converted.
