Convert WebP to JPG
Runs on your deviceHow it works
Your browser decodes each WebP and draws it onto a canvas filled with the background you pick, because JPG has no transparency. The canvas is then saved as a JPG at the quality you choose. Every browser can save JPG, so this works in Safari too.
Why it stays private
The conversion happens inside this page. Your images are never sent to a server, and the page makes no network requests while you use it. Close the tab and they are gone from it.
Questions
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG can't store transparency, so those areas become the background you choose: white, black or a custom shade.
Which quality should I use?
Around 85 to 92% looks the same as the original for most photos while keeping the file small.
Are animated WebP files supported?
Only the first frame is converted. JPG holds a single still image.
Does it keep metadata?
No. The canvas only carries pixels, so camera and location data are not copied.
